Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Not all National Trust properties are open yet, and those that are require pre-booking via their website, no later than 15:00 on the day prior to visit.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Ide Hill

Ide Hill is 33.5 acres of semi-natural woodland that lies on the side of the Greensand Ridge. The area is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its abundant wildlife. The area suffered very badly in the 1987 storm, losing over 70 percent of its tree cover, but has regenerated well, and has abundant wildlife and a number of small circular walks, which allow you to see the wildlife and amazing views.
